Erection of the Largest Neighbourhood In Israel In Record Time

In the Bait BaPark neighbourhood in Or Yehuda 27 residential towers each rising up to 10 - 13 stories were built, offering 1,429 apartments in a variety of sizes and to differing specifications. The neighbourhood, regarded as the largest residential project in Israel, was built in record time, setting an example of maximum utilisation of the subcontracting subsidiaries' abilities leading to maximum efficiency, optimal product quality control and tighter schedules. 

The neighbourhood was built in the relatively short space of time of only 34 months. Speeding up of the building process was made possible by construction techniques that entailed laying down infrastructures for all of the buildings at the same time, thus allowing synergy between construction progress on the site and the assembly of industrial elements that had been produced at the Ashcrete plant.  

An above surface area of about 215 thousand sq. m. was built in the neighbourhood with some 80 thousand sq. m. of parking area. For the purposes of the project a dedicated quality control system was set up, 600 thousand cu. m. were excavated and 13,000 industrialised elements, 16 tower cranes, approx. 25,000 tonnes of steel and 175,000 cu.m. of concrete were employed.    

Throughout all the construction phases Ashtrom Construction strictly observed building safety rules with meticulous logistical planning, lateral management and close quality control - starting from the infrastructure and frame erection stage for all the buildings, via that of the planning and logistics, up to the provision of the electromechanical systems in each apartment, finishing works and dealing with the surrounding green areas.
